Cinematic The Pilot Drums of War Logic Pro X Template

The Pilot (Drums of War) Logic Pro X Symphonic Rock Template

We are very proud to present a new generation of symphonic rock Logic Pro templates! This one is an amalgamation of various genres in classical, orchestral/symphonic rock and Epic Drums and cinematic or game music using Logic Pro X.

This symphonic rock template features 10 huge Kontakt 5 drum elements subbed out to their own respective channels in Logic’s mix bus.  All drums in this template are from custom built set in Heavyocity’s Damage plugin via Kontakt 5, where each drum was handpicked for the best sound possible. Even more, each drum element is sent out to four different compressor channels to achieve an even greater sound and to glue all of the drums to an epic level in the mix.

We also added in three EXS24 stringed instruments: Double Bass, Cellos, and Violins, by customizing each with compression, attack, release, and volume automation to give a more realistic feel. Then we glue all the strings together into one bus for more control and add a very special reverb setting in Logic.

Finally, we end by creating an over-the-top electric guitar sound with Logic’s very own Sculpture and tons of FX and add-ons like Arpeggiator, Amp simulator, Ringshifter, and Overdrive.  There are always tons of extras like this in all of the templates from FadedShadows…

The other great thing with this template is it is all %100 Midi. This means you have the freedom to change any instrument or sound and still maintain the original note value. Take out the Heavyocity drum set and replace with your own.  The possibilities are endless with this template.

It took me almost two years to build this into a mixable logic form: syncing all the note/midi data to fit and line up to the grid, meticulous editing each note, creating custom strings, guitars and drum lines to match and fit.  I feel that this template will be great for any type of cinematic movie score or game development background.  I am so thrilled to release this, Enjoy!

Only two (2) third party plugins, Kontakt 5 and Heavyocity’s Damage, which is included in Native Instruments Komplete series.

Does it matter what version you are trying to open Logic Pro X? Short answer: No. However, the general rule is: You can always open an older version of Logic Pro, you can even open an older Logic Pro 9 project with Logic Pro X. Logic is a very smart and capable Digital Audio Workstations (DAW). Granted, if a template uses Logic's newer plugins, like Alchemy, first introduced in Logic Pro X version 10.2, and your version of Logic does not, it will still open, and Logic will just not load the Alchemy Plugin. The MIDI and Automation Data will still be the same, and you can quickly change the instrument to anything you want. Similarly, Logic Pro will open if you don't have a particular 3rd Party Plugin. The only limitation is that you can not open a Logic Pro X version with Logic Pro 9. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
